Iconic restaurant Ivory in Belfast has had a facelift.
In case you don’t know what on earth I’m talking about, The Ivory is perched on top of House of Fraser in Belfast’s Victoria Square. the best entrance can be found at the corner of Chichester Street and Victoria Street.
There are a couple of things to make The Ivory so remarkable – and its location is only one of them. It’s always been a stylish place to see and be seen and it’s very, very handy if you’re in Belfast city centre, particularly if you have sore feet and an empty tummy after a hard day of shopping.
The new refurbishment gives a bit of a facelift to the restaurant – lovely lighting and comfortable seating. The staff are very helpful, always polite and happy to serve. What I love about this place is that it’s not just a restaurant, they do private functions and corporate events. You can even take a cocktail masterclass.
But it’s hard to mention The Ivory without including their view. About four storeys up you can see right across Belfast’s cityscape. They’ve cleverly made their deck into a cosy haven for outside drinking and dining – not an easy thing to do in a place known for wind and rain. But The Ivory have ensured there’s plenty of heat and shelter for those who want to kick back and enjoy the landscape. If you haven’t been for a while it’s time to pop in for another visit and to appreciate the new decor.
