Inika – The Next Big Makeup Brand

Have you heard of Inika yet? You probably will soon. For the very least the brand has been getting some pretty cool endorsements, not least by onscreen beauty Holly Willoughby. Her makeup artist has been using Inika for the presenter’s appearances on Dancing On Ice and at the Brits.

I’ve just been introduced to the brand with a lovely load of samples. Firstly, I’m loving the colours I’ve been given – the Cream Illuminator in Rose, the Baked Blush Duo in Burnt Peach. These colours work really well with my ultra pale skin and that surprises me. Inika is an Australian brand so I wouldn’t have expected them to cater for my skin tone – but then I expect everyone in Australia to have lovely tanned skin as I’ve never been then.

These days we’re all about ethical cosmetics and sustainability and Inika is doing everything it can to bring cruelty free products to us. They’re certified vegan in the UK and have certifications for cruelty free and halal in Australia and other countries. All of their products are certified organic.

But turning to their website, that’s where I could do some serious damage to my flexible friend. There’s all sorts of lovely things on there that I would love to have. They do some brilliant kits: Face in a Box; the Lip & Cheek Set; and I am hugely tempted by this Foundation with Hyaluronic Acid. It really might be worth looking at some of these kits. The Face in a Box kit contains lots of sample sizes but also a kabuki brush and full-size mineral bronzer – these two products alone are worth the same as the entire kit at £53, so have a look.

The Inika website also features a Find Your Shade page – it helps you find the right shade of foundation for your skin. A genius idea as buying foundation online is always a risk.

Inika aren’t yet in the shops in Northern Ireland but of course you can buy them online. Please let me know if you have sampled Inika yet – I would love to know what you think.
