Gordons Chemists – L’Oreal Paris Elvive Fibrology Thickening Shampoo

So another post as my role as blogger in residence for Gordons Chemists this month.

Gordons Chemists have given me a big box of goodies to review and the Fibrology Thickening Shampoo was in it, but I had already bought some in my Gordons haul just after Christmas.

Anyway they have given me the Elvive Fibrology Thickening Shampoo, Conditioner and the thickness booster (I haven’t got around to trying that out yet though).

I’ve heard a lot about this product over the blogsphere even before they started advertising it on TV. I have naturally blonde hair which usually is fine and can end up in little straggly tails when it’s long for that reason. I don’t like a lot of thickening shampoos on the market because they weigh down my hair and don’t leave it feeling clean.

This though, I’m pleased to say, does exactly what it says on the tin.

According to the science the special ingredient is Filloxane which penetrates your hair fibres and expands. It’s nice to meet a product that really does give results.

I wash my hair every day and because it’s so fine many shampoos can leave it feeling heavy and sticky. L’Oreal’s Elvive range is one that I’ve used lots before and the Fibrology range is a welcome addition to the family. My hair feels and looks noticeably thicker each time I use it. I don’t feel like there’s lots of build up and the only downside is that my hair feels a smidgeon less silky – something that only I am never going to notice and something you would expect in thicker hair.

I really am delighted with this product and I happily use it every day. One batch is almost finished.

I’ve also just discovered that on the Gordons Chemists website Fibrology shampoo and conditioner are both down to the bargain price of £1.99 each for 250ml. An absolute bargain if you ask me so time to snap some up!
