The Empties

Do you know, I think this might actually be my first empties post? I was inspired to do one after this by my blogger pal A Life of Style.

Anyway, firstly I’ve noticed that this is quite Clarins heavy. I apologize for that but these products are ones that I used to the very end.

Empties

Clarins Gentle Eye Make-Up Remover, £20

I spend my life looking for a decent eye make-up remover and this one comes pretty close. Eagle eyes will notice this isn’t the full-size version which is a little costly. I got this really decent-sized sample when I bought my foundation. It does what it says on the tin – removes my industrial-strength mascara and doesn’t sting. Big tick in my book and I’ll buy again when I’m feeling flush.

Benefit Puff Off Eye Gel, £24.50

This one was a freebie I got after a Benefit press launch. I don’t often feel the need to worry about bags under my eyes so it took me a while to get around to actually using this product. There’s only one thing to say about it – it works. Without that horrible tightening feeling this calms under your eyes and makes you look as if you’ve just had the best night’s sleep ever. This is now an absolute must after a late night or before a big event. I’ve show it here with the lid off – the applicator is designed to look like an iron so it irons your bags and wrinkles away…

Dr Botanical Moroccan Rose Superfood Facial Oil, £39

This little vial of niceness came to me via my Glossybox. I’ve never been sure of using oil on my oil skin but I loved putting this one on before bed. One of the things I liked about it the most was that it didn’t feel heavy or sit on my skin the way other facial oils have. The other thing was my little 15 ml bottle seemed to last forever, so although it’s pricey it’s good value for money.

Clarins Pore Perfecting Matifying Foundation, £28

I won’t go on about this one as I’ve written about it before. I do love it though. It smooths out the texture of my skin and actually stays where it is throughout the day. I think I’m on my third tube at this point. Win.

Clarins Multi-Active Night – Normal to Combination Skin, £44

I’m all about the night-time routine. It’s a little luxury I give myself to carefully cleanse the day away and then slather on some serious skincare. What I’ve always liked about Clarins skin and body care is how luxurious they feel. I was very sorry to see this one finish as the product I’ve moved on to doesn’t feel anywhere near as nice.
