Powering Kindness – Time to pull my socks up

Well after the first two days of Powering Kindness for Special Olympics Ireland I can safely say I have been useless.

Certain people out there like Sinead Doyle have been busy tootling around doing good for just about everyone they come across – mostly her boyfriend.

On my first day I ended up at the races at Down Royal, mostly for work. My good deed for the day was to let the little tote guy know he had given me too much change when I placed a wee bet – I gave the difference back to him, not least because I didn’t want him to get into trouble. That was all I did and I didn’t even tweet about it. Shocking.

On Sunday I woke up with a steaming cold. Instead of charging out looking for ways to make life better for my fellow man I curled up into a ball and sneezed a lot – it was my boyfriend doing all the good deeds for me.

So today I’m going to start from scratch and get my good on.
